What would cause 7yr old to throw up every morning and night?

my 7 yr old has recently been throwing up @ nite and mostly mornings a half hour after he wakes up. then goes outside and plays normal all day w/friends and @ night he plays w the dog like he always has.his eating patterns and everything else is normal
